It's currently clear, with temperatures ranging in the 70's at Lake Ming. Perfect weather for some good boat racing.
It's lunchtime but there is no lunchbreak going on at the NJBA Nationals. It is the final
race of the season and the boat count has hit 60.
Steve Rauscher decided to give Race Rescue some extra work, after his amazing stunt in 509, aptly named, No Respect. It is hard to tell who wasn't respecting who, when the boats' nose dug into the water and threw the vehicle into a sudden 180 degree turn. Steve got pitched from the boat. Steve (riding passenger in the teams golf cart) reports, "My boat and I are fine. My knee got banged up a little".
Rauscher wasn't the only one to take a dive into Lake Ming. Rescue divers are currently combing the lakes bottom. It appears that Mike Finnegan arrived at the end ramp minus a scoop, he lost during the run.
Race Rescue was good enough to dive in the water again and search around until they found it after the race was concluded for the day.
