PE Still Crazy had Bill Rathke twitching. Brother Bud ran a 7.998 run, two points away from perfect, and when Bill got behind the wheel and ran a 7.95. Bud, suggested the faster ET was due to the fact he weighed less than Bill. Bill, aka 'King Of The O's', made a second run, a perfect 8.000 pass with a reaction time of .072 at 145.84 mph.

Christina Matty, in the Lance Matty King Kong, Modified Eliminator, was one of several drivers practicing license runs.

TAF 122 was determined to crash at test and tune and Tony Pulido was determined to keep that boat in one piece. Tony won but rumors had it he was out hunting for a laundry facility shortly after.
Brad Hagberg piloting Team 122's Pro Mod ran a near perfect reaction time of .015 running a 160.68 pass.

While other fuelers were on the water, Dale Ishimaru, TFH World Champion was land locked. Although he was not at the event, the crowd heard his name numerous times, as racers wished him a speedy recovery, via the announcer.
Dale underwent spinal (splintered vertebrae) surgery followed by ankle surgery on Thursday at Redding. On friday, race rescue drove Dale to his home in Torrence where he is expected to reach full recovery before the summers' end.
