Friday found TAH racer, Kent Price, rudderless and stranded on land. Despite the determination Kent Price displays as a race driver, the boat decided to drive it's self, taking Kent for a slight detour. Saturday witnessed Liquidy Split leave the water and come to a grounding halt on the island. A loose steering column made it impossible to navigate the boat. Kent threw the shoots and was forced to watch the boat navigate itself up onto the island.
The IHBA manuevered the boat back into the water and returned it to the team without any additional incurred damages.
The team worked tirelessly, and their dedication resulted in the boat entering the Sunday competitions.
Problem Problem Child, a TFH competitor was encouragable during the race weekend. While others had trouble running, Problem Child bypassed that dilema by simply not running. When Problem Child finally made it down the track it was clear the boat had problems. Last years shining star was fading fast and when the dust settled on Saturday, Problem Child was the second to last in qualifying, despite being piloted by one of the best drivers in the industry. Problem Child was a no show for the semi-finals call.
Toxic Rocket had more complete runs than normal, and was able to run in the 4's and low 5's during the Lakefest event, the team managed to walk away with the second place trophy in hand, while first place went to the Speed Sport Special, piloted by John Haas.
