At 10.30 am Saturday, Michael Torgerson and Jim Buesse faced off at the start line. This was Michael Torgerson's first official
Pro Mod qualifying run. Michael ran faster than a Pro Mod should hitting an ET of 6.67 and exceeding 177 MPH.

Jim Buesse, in Aqualung, his #007 Pro Mod, chased hard after Torgerson and while attempting to go catch Torgerson, at the finish line, and in front of the crowd,
the boat lost control and went airborne. Jim Buesse miraculously somehow recovered the boat, landed it back onto the liquid quarter mile, without crashing. Wait until you see the photos! Unbelievable!
